Baptist Health will implement ActX’s clinical decision support program, which analyzes patients’ genetic health data and alerts physicians in real time about their drug-genome interactions.
The ActX system will integrate with the health system’s Epic EHR, which is used at Baptist Health’s eight hospitals. Physicians who put medication orders into Epic will be alerted if a drug is likely to be ineffective, cause an adverse reaction or require a dosing change, all within the Epic medication ordering workflow.
The integration also supports a built-in genomic profile for each patient within the patient chart.
