Allscripts acquired OneContent, which was formerly a McKesson product from its EIS portfolio, when it bought McKesson in a deal that closed in October. When the deal closes, OneContent’s client base and associates will transition to Hyland, a content services provider operating in the healthcare space.
“Hyland has world-class content and image management solutions, and OneContent is a great fit within their portfolio,” Allscripts President Rick Poulton said in a press release. “This deal is a triple win for Allscripts clients and shareholders as it allows us to efficiently recirculate capital; allows us to focus on our core businesses and allows us to maintain our strong, exciting partnership with Hyland.”
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2018.
