Middleburg Heights, Ohio-based Southwest General Health Center is expanding its partnership with Oracle to integrate clinical, financial and operational systems across the organization.
The 368-bed independent, nonprofit hospital will adopt Oracle Health Patient Accounting, Oracle Health Data Intelligence and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
The expansion builds on Southwest General’s existing use of Oracle Health Foundation EHR and its recent integration of Oracle Health AI Agents’ clinical documentation capabilities, which are designed to reduce administrative tasks for physicians.
The hospital aims to address inefficiencies caused by disconnected financial, operational and clinical systems by bringing information into a shared environment.
Under the expanded agreement, Southwest General will use Oracle Health Patient Accounting to consolidate billing, payments, claims and patient account information. The hospital expects the system to reduce manual processes, improve billing accuracy and streamline payment processing.
Oracle Health Data Intelligence will bring patient information into a centralized environment to support clinical decision-making and care coordination.
Southwest General also plans to implement Oracle’s full Fusion Cloud Applications suite, including enterprise resource planning, enterprise performance management, human capital management, supply chain and manufacturing, and customer experience applications. The tools are intended to standardize business processes and provide greater visibility into organizational performance.
The news release did not specify an implementation timeline or disclose the financial terms of the expanded agreement.
