“This deal is great news for our investors, our employees and, most importantly, our clients,” said Jim Lewis, Cumberland CEO and managing partner, in a news release. “Cipe is well-known for the depth of its implementation experience and for the high-quality staffing support it delivers to healthcare providers across the country. We are very excited to be joining forces to better serve our clients.”
The merger will result in 50 Cipe employees joining Cumberland, and the company’s first West Coast office. This is Cumberland’s second acquisition within the past year — in November, the company purchased Mindlance Life Sciences, another consulting firm focused on IT implementations.
