Through the partnership with Mercy, SSM Health and Oklahoma State University Medical Center, Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System will be able to electronically share veteran health information between Veterans Affairs and non-Veterans Affairs healthcare providers using eHealth Exchange. Veterans opt into the program by completing a form, to be mailed to the Muskogee, Okla.-based Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center.

This exchange will also provide non-Veterans Affairs healthcare facilities with access to Veterans Affairs medical data, including allergies, health problems, medications and vital signs.
