Rockville, Md.-based DrFirst, a technology solutions company, has bought VisibilityRx, which specializes in clinical trial recruitment services.
Through the acquisition, DrFirst's physician clients can use VisibilityRx's services to refer and match their patients to clinical trials. Because the deal will accelerate the clinical trial recruitment process, researchers will be better equipped to cut costs related to patient recruitment.
"The acquisition delivers an existing client base and experienced management and provides us with a comprehensive solution that addresses a need for so many patients, physicians, pharmacies and clinical research organizations," said DrFirst President G. Cameron Deemer. "This platform will enhance the value of our partners' electronic health record and pharmacy products, while also helping providers deliver the newest and most applicable clinical trial information to their patients."
Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
