U.S. HealthWorks operates occupational healthcare centers in 21 states, treating more than 14,000 patients each day. USHW CareConnectNOW, which launched on American Well’s platform, will connect patients with urgent care providers online and through a mobile app.

With the remote service, U.S. HealthWorks aims to reduce emergency room visits for nonemergency medical needs. Workers compensation patients based in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Maine and Pennsylvania can access the service 24/7.

U.S. HealthWorks plans to expand USHW CareConnectNOW to more states in the following month.
