Vanderbilt adds to digital health operations leadership team

Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University has named Sara Horst, MD, the associate vice chair for digital health operations for the department of medicine and assistant chief for clinical informatics at the division of gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.

Dr. Horst is a gastroenterologist who joined the Vanderbilt facility in 2011. In her new position, Dr. Horst will work to improve the patient and provider experience with EHRs, according to an Oct. 13 news release.

Dr. Horst serves as the medical director for telehealth ambulatory services at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
