Under the deal, Uber Health will open access to its nonemergency medical transportation network services to Texas’ nearly 4.4 million Medicaid enrollees.

Uber Health’s nonemergency medical transportation program aims to reduce barriers to care, reduce costs for state governments and streamline population health management. Earlier this year, Uber teamed up with Walgreens to offer free transportation to stores and off-site vaccine clinics as part of an initiative addressing transportation barriers affecting COVID-19 vaccinations.
