Health system executives expect leaders overseeing AI projects to have increased importance in the near future.

Here are the newer roles predicted to rise in prominence over the next three years, according to a Nov. 6 Healthcare Financial Management Association report that surveyed 125 CFOs and 57 other C-suite leaders:

1. Chief AI innovation officer: 64.4%

2. Chief AI transformation officer: 32.7%

3. Chief growth officer: 29.6%

4. Chief digital officer: 26%

5. Chief medical innovation officer: 22.4%

6. Chief experience officer: 22%

7. Other: 11.5%

8 (tie). Chief marketing officer: 6.1%

8 (tie). Chief pharmacy officer: 6.1%
