New York City-based Tennr, a patient orchestration platform that has raised $162 million in venture funding, hired John Capaldi as chief revenue officer and added two enterprise sales executives to scale its go-to-market organization.

Mr. Capaldi brings more than 25 years of enterprise technology experience. He most recently served as CRO of Altana and previously held the same role at Zip.

Dean Sutherland joins as vice president of sales transformation. He most recently led sales transformation and enablement at Redwood Software.

Matt Stephens joins as senior vice president of customer experience and value engineering. He comes from Celonis, where he led a global value engineering organization. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Qlik, including a stint as director of healthcare solution architects.

“We couldn’t be more excited about bringing these leaders onboard and pointing their talents towards solving the very hairy, no-good black-hole problem facing the U.S. healthcare system,” said Tennr CEO Trey Holterman. “I ask every person I interview one question which is: ‘what’s the best team you’ve ever been on.’ And after hearing enough former teammates of his and folks in my network talk about the time they spent in the ‘Capaldi Army’ I knew we had to bring him onboard. Much cajoling later and we’re very excited to officially announce his role as CRO of Tennr. It’s a further testament to his leadership that we’ve been able to quickly get the gang back together with Matt Stephens and Dean Sutherland. A gang that together has built incredible teams and high-velocity organizations through the last two decades building companies.”

Tennr’s platform manages payer requirements, removes operational bottlenecks and tracks patients from intake through treatment. It is designed to cut care delays between referral and appointment.

The sales hires follow Tennr’s February appointment of William H. Morris, MD, as chief medical officer. Dr. Morris is a former Cleveland Clinic chief innovation officer and Google Cloud CMO. Tennr works with hundreds of providers, and its investors include IVP, Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed, GV and ICONIQ.
