New York City-based Montefiore Health System will expand its collaboration with Amazon One Medical next year, becoming the primary specialty care partner for the company’s Manhattan patients beginning Jan. 1.
Here are six things to know:
- The agreement expands a partnership that had previously focused on Westchester County and one Manhattan site that opened last spring. Beginning early in the new year, Montefiore will offer coordinated specialty care for Amazon One Medical’s primary care patients at 15 Manhattan locations, along with its existing AOM site in Westchester County, according to a Nov. 13 news release shared with Becker’s.
- Amazon One Medical patients will gain access to a broad mix of Montefiore specialty services, including orthopedics, women’s health, cardiac care, neurology, transplant programs and advanced imaging.
- Sites participating in the partnership range from Montefiore Einstein Advanced Care at Manhattan West to the health system’s Hutchinson Campus ambulatory center and an imaging center in Riverdale.
- Specialty services will also be available at Amazon One Medical’s Manhattan Valley clinic and at White Plains Hospital’s Scarsdale ambulatory center.
- Patients who require hospitalization may be admitted directly to Montefiore facilities under the updated agreement.
- The organizations also indicated that additional joint sites in Westchester are expected to open in 2026.
