Massachusetts General Hospital’s John D. Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation (Boston). Massachusetts General Hospital opened its innovation center in 2000, naming it for John D. Stoeckle, MD, in commemoration of his commitment to improving the quality and delivery of primary care in his five decades with the hospital. The center supports multiple innovation programs, including the Crimson Care Collaborative, which is a partnership between the Stoeckle Center and Boston-based Harvard Medical School. The collaborative practice allows medical students, under the direction of faculty members, to conduct an evening clinic where they care for patients who do not have primary care physicians.
