Google updates Search, Maps to help patients find more info on providers 

Google added features to its Search and Maps tools that connect users with more information about healthcare providers such as insurance coverage, the tech giant tweeted Sept. 24.

Healthcare providers can now include information on their Business Profiles on Google Search and Maps that show the insurance they accept, the language assistance they offer in person and more. 

To access the new services, users must search “Doctor near me” on Google, according to the tweet.
