Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Corewell Health has reported measurable improvements in chronic disease outcomes through its virtual lifestyle medicine partnership with Nudj Health.

Launched in 2023, the partnership has supported more than 3,000 Corewell Health patients using a model that combines the system’s clinical expertise in nutrition, physical activity, stress management and behavior change with Nudj Health’s tech-enabled care team, according to a Sept. 3 news release.

Participants saw a 44% decrease in depression scores, a 39% reduction in anxiety scores and a 6% average weight loss. Cardiometabolic improvements included a 9% drop in triglycerides and a 7% decline in total cholesterol. Exercise capacity increased by 46% in minutes per day.

Melissa Sundermann, DO, medical director of lifestyle medicine at Corewell Health, said the model has helped empower patients across Michigan to manage or reverse chronic conditions.
