Dell’s cloud company unveils healthcare platform

Virtustream, a Dell Technologies cloud business, on May 9 launched a new cloud service for healthcare organizations.

The service, called Virtustream Healthcare Cloud, provides cloud-based hosting for healthcare applications and platforms like EMRs, enterprise resource planning systems, workforce management systems and precision medicine platforms, among others.

Virtustream Healthcare Cloud, which is built on the Virtustream Enterprise Cloud, advertises a layered defense security design to ensure HIPAA compliance and protection for sensitive patient information.
