Medtech company Stryker reported being “fully operational” across its manufacturing network after a March 11 cyberattack.
The hack disrupted the firm’s internal Microsoft environment, causing health systems to temporarily disconnect from the company’s devices and delay procedures. A cybercriminal group linked to Iran claimed responsibility.
“Production is moving rapidly toward peak capacity with discipline and stability, supported by restored commercial, ordering and distribution systems,” Stryker stated April 1. “Overall product supply remains healthy, with strong availability across most product lines, as we continue to meet customer demand and support patient care.”
The company said it continues to work with cybersecurity experts, government agencies and industry partners on the investigation. Health system information security leaders told Becker’s the incident underscores the continued importance of third-party and supply-chain risk management.
