Patients have reported being unable to reach El Dorado, Kan.-based Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital to schedule critical appointments, KWCH reported July 17.

The hospital is investigating a potential cyberattack.

In a statement to the news outlet, Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital said it had “detected anomalous activity” in its network, which led to a system outage. It has engaged a third-party cybersecurity team to investigate and support recovery efforts.

The hospital said it will notify patients if their personal information was compromised.

The investigation is ongoing, according to KWCH.
