Cyberattacks on healthcare infrastructure have become increasingly intertwined with a health system's bottom line.

San Bernardino, Calif.-based Regal Medical Group and its affiliated companies are notifying patients of a recent ransomware attack that compromised some of their confidential information, JDSupra reported Feb. 7. 

Springfield, Colo.-based Southeast Colorado Hospital District is notifying 1,435 patients that some of their protected health information may have been compromised after an unauthorized party accessed one of its employee email accounts, JDSupra reported Feb. 7. 

Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial HealthCare said it continues to operate under downtime procedures as it contends with an IT security incident that started Feb. 2, but released few other details Feb. 7.

San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare is notifying patients that an unauthorized party has stolen files from its system after it took over the health system's website server on Jan. 12.
