Opko Health learned June 6 that 422,600 patients may have had their data exposed in the breach. AMCA stored Opko Health customers’ credit card and bank account information, email addresses, phone numbers and balance information.
No social security numbers, bank account passwords or security questions were compromised in the data breach, which happened between Aug. 1, 2018, and March 30, 2019.
Quest Diagnostic and Laboratory Corp. of America are the two other companies that are alerting 11.9 million and 7.7 million patients respectively about the data breach.
Opko Health has not received a complete list of the affected customers and has not been able to verify the accuracy of the information AMCA provided, Reuters reports.
BioReference Laboratories, a unit within Opko Health, has suspended collection requests to AMCA since October 2018 and has asked AMCA to stop processing any pending collection requests, reports Reuters.
