North York General Hospital taps Thales, Identos for encryption services

Toronto-based North York General Hospital selected cybersecurity providers Thales and Identos to improve the secure exchange of information between physicians, staff and patients at the facility.

Identos will provide North York General Hospital with an encryption-as-a-service security platform to protect data and transactions on mobile devices, including those between providers and patients. The platform is integrated with Thales’ hardware-based encryption technology to manage device security.

Through the integration of Thales and Identos technologies, North York General Hospital aims to enable secure and timely communication between patients and hospital staff.

“These two companies have the extensive, proven experience necessary for creating a solution that embraces growth, flexibility and accounts for today’s mobile-savvy users,” said Sumon Acharjee, CIO of North York General Hospital.
