Starting in September, CHN will implement CLEAR Verified to replace multi-factor authentication and password reset processes for employees. The next step will be expanding to patient access for Epic MyChart accounts and visitor registration.

Identifying an individual, rather than a device, aims to combat cybersecurity threats within sensitive information systems. This initiative also targets the burden faced by support services which receive around 6,000 password reset calls from employees and 15,000 MyChart password reset calls from patients annually, according to the release.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
