The HITRUST CSF is a comprehensive security framework composed of information protection standards from multiple industries, including healthcare. The framework incorporates control requirements to help organizations demonstrate compliance with 36 healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation.

ClearDATA has used the HITRUST CSF to assess security and privacy policies and controls since 2014. The 9.1 version of the certificate incorporates additional regulatory requirements, such as state regulations.

The new certification applies to all of ClearDATA’s products and services, including its platforms for Amazon Web Services, Microsoft’s Azure and the Google Cloud Platform. The certification makes ClearDATA the first company to offer HITRUST-certified Google Cloud products, according to company officials.
