Google Cloud’s Jan. 4 blog post detailed the acquisition, stating, “We plan to invest in SOAR capabilities with Siemplify’s cloud services as our foundation and the team’s talent leading the way.”
Google wants to integrate Siemplify’s capabilities into its Chronicle cloud service to help enterprises modernize and automate security operations. Siemplify provides end-to-end cybersecurity services that reduce the cost of addressing threats and enable security teams to better manage risk.
This comes after Google’s five-year pledge in August to invest $10 billion in cybersecurity. Google did not specify the cost of the deal.
