Three details:
- Premiere, an accountable care organization, said a former executive and technology vendor obtained and accessed a computer file containing sensitive healthcare information, according to a news release.
- The data was improperly accessed in July 2020, after the executive was terminated. The breach was not discovered until April 30, 2021.
- The file contained protected health information, such as name, birthdates, Medicare-related information and more. Premier and the vendor are still investigating the breach.
