The FBI is warning Salesforce customers that hackers have been targeting the software company’s platforms, with the American Hospital Association offering advice for health systems.
The cybercriminal groups UNC6040 and UNC6395 have recently accessed Salesforce platforms and stolen data, using tactics such as voice phishing and compromised access tokens for an integrated AI chatbot, according to the Sept. 12 FBI notice.
The FBI advises organizations to take mitigation steps such as training call center employees to recognize phishing attempts, implementing phishing-resistant multifactor authentication, and limiting actions users can perform. The AHA said it is also available for more information on this and other cyber risks.
