The cybersecurity incident affected a small percentage of active and inactive accounts at New York City-based Capsule, a company spokesperson told Becker’s.
An investigator found the incident was most likely caused by outside actors using logins and passwords compromised in other data breaches to access Capsule’s system, the spokesperson said.
There was no indication that any information was misused, and affected individuals are being notified, the spokesperson said.
