Amazon employs thousands of workers around the world to listen to and transcribe Alexa conversations to help improve Alexa’s voice recognition technology. Now, the technology giant is providing Alexa users with the option to command the digital assistant to delete entire-day conversations, by saying “Alexa, delete everything I said today,” according to the report.
Within the next few weeks, Amazon will release a feature that allows users to ask Alexa to delete certain parts of conversations. To do so, the user has to say, “Alexa, delete what I just said.”
The new security features are part of Amazon’s new Alexa Privacy Hub, which an Amazon spokesperson told CNBC is designed to provide users with additional information on “how Echo devices are designed and the controls you have over your Alexa experience.”
In the healthcare space, Amazon Alexa has made several recent developments, including the addition of HIPAA-compliant skills and work on a voice skill that can connect users to a live, human therapist.
