“We are working diligently to restore these systems, and most importantly, to ensure our clients’ data is protected. Although our investigation is ongoing, there is currently no evidence that any data has been removed from our systems,” Ms. Rasiarmos told Becker’s in an email statement. “We regret any inconvenience caused by this temporary outage.”
In the overnight hours of Jan. 18, the company discovered ransomware had impacted applications hosted in its data centers located in Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C. Allscripts’ Professional EHR services and its electronic prescribing of controlled substances system are currently unavailable, according to an ECPS outage notice reported by HISTalk.
Other functions — including InfoButton, regulatory reporting, clinical decision support, direct messaging and Payerpath — have been down since this morning, an Allscripts user told HIStalk.
Some Allscripts clients expressed concerns on Twitter Thursday, most writing that the company’s cloud has been down all day and questioning when the problem would be resolved. Allscripts tweeted individual replies to those clients’ concerns, advising them to reach out to Allscripts Support for more information.
