6 health system CISOs make top 100 list

Six health system cybersecurity leaders have been named to the C100 list for the top chief information security officers.

The board of CISOs Connect, a membership-based interactive community of executives, selected the top 100 from hundreds of nominations based on experience, involvement with professional organizations, and cybersecurity-related activities, mentoring and volunteerism, according to an April news release.

Here are the CISOs from the 2025 C100 who work for health systems:

— Erik Decker, Intermountain Health (Salt Lake City)

— Christopher Frenz, Mount Sinai South Nassau (Oceanside, N.Y.)

— Andy Heins, Lifepoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.)

— Jack Kufahl, Michigan Medicine (Ann Arbor)

— Steven Ramirez, Renown Health (Reno, Nev.)

— Kim Sassaman, Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.)
