55% of healthcare IT leaders say they need more visibility into BYOD, survey finds

Seventy-six percent of healthcare respondents in IT departments agree their organizations need visibility to detect and mitigate human errors and misuse, according to a Netwrix report.

For the report, the IT security company surveyed a range of representatives from IT departments about security risks. About 11 percent of respondents hailed from the healthcare industry.

Seventy-six percent of healthcare respondents also agreed their organizations need visibility to investigate security incidents, while 65 percent indicated visibility was important to ensure the security of network and information assets.

Here are four areas healthcare respondents indicated they most need visibility into user activity.

1. Bring your own device: 55 percent

2. On-premise systems: 47 percent

3. Cloud systems: 43 percent

4. Mobile devices: 40 percent
