The hospital is rolling out both the Dragon Medical One speech recognition platform and PowerMic Mobile dictation app to all its physicians and ambulatory nurses.

Dragon Medical One is an artificial intelligence-based speech recognition platform that integrates into existing workflows. PowerMic Mobile enables clinicians to dictate clinical documentation from their smartphones as they move from room to room.

“We evaluated speech recognition solutions from multiple vendors and ultimately chose Nuance for its deep integration with Cerner, proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes and flexible licensing model that enables us to deploy their technology to all our staff,” said Garvin Eastman, an application analyst at Concord Hospital.
