CNSI wins $166M federal contract to build medical bill processing solution

The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs awarded CNSI, a health IT enterprise solutions and products provider, a $166 million contract.

As per the contract, CNSI will create and operate a centralized workers' compensation medical bill processing solution for four OWCP programs — the Division of Federal Employees' Compensation, Division of Coal Mine Workers' Compensation, Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation and Division of Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation.

CNSI will work with the OWCP and its programs to receive and review medical bills and attachments against program-specific authorizations as well as engage in fraud and abuse detection, among other processes.

CNSI previously partnered with the Department of Labor to provide software development support for the Department's Mine Safety and Health Administration.
