CMS paid a total of more than $264 million in Medicare and Medicaid EHR incentive payments in August alone, compared with nearly $124.2 million in July — an increase of approximately 112 percent.
Of the $264 million paid in August, approximately $114.9 million was paid for the Medicare program and approximately $149.7 for Medicaid.
Registrations for both Medicare and Medicaid EHR incentive programs have reached 90,650 providers, including 13,099 in August. In contrast, only 9,548 providers registered for the programs in July.
