CMS has extended the attestation by one month; the previous attestation deadline was Nov. 30.
The attestation extension will allow hospitals more time to submit their meaningful use data and receive an incentive payment as well as avoid the 2016 Medicare payment adjustment, according to CMS.
Additionally, CMS has also extended the deadline for eligible hospitals and CAHs to electronically submit clinical quality measures as a requirement of meaningful use and the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting program to Dec. 31.
The new deadlines do not impact the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
