Ten years later in 2013, he received Lehigh Valley’s “40 Under 40” award for his work as vice president and CIO of Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke’s University Health Network.

One of Mr. Brisendine’s projects as CIO of St. Luke’s was to align the health system’s delivery infrastructure with new EHR applications. Under his leadership for the alignment, there was a 25 percent drop in support tickets filed in one week.

Additionally, Mr. Brisendine oversaw the EMR adoption and implementation at the health network and achieved HIMSS’ EMR Adoption Model Stage 6 recognition, the first hospital or health system in the Lehigh Valley to earn this designation.
