The CHIME chapter in Italy will be the organization’s first outpost in Europe and its second chapter outside the U.S. In 2017, CHIME opened a chapter in India.
Under the partnership, CHIME will promote and distribute its educational and accreditation services across Italy with the help of AISIS, which serves more than 500 CIOs and IT leaders in the country’s public and private healthcare sectors.
“Even if the healthcare sector in Italy and the U.S. have experienced very different approaches, they share the same challenges, technological opportunities and organizational frameworks,” AISIS President Giuliano Pozza said in a news release.
Russell Branzell, president and CEO of CHIME, added: “Our international community is tremendously innovative and resourceful, and we look forward to an open exchange of ideas and best practices with healthcare leaders in Italy.”
