The Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Technology is geared toward chief technology officers and the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Applications is geared toward chief application officers.
The formation of the two new professional organizations provides educational resources and a forum for health IT and application-focused issues.
“Both of these new organizations will help strengthen the CTO and CAO roles in order to meet the challenges created by the rapid and unprecedented changes in healthcare technology,” said George W. McCulloch, CHIME executive vice president of membership and professional development. “Our goal is to provide the education and collaboration necessary for these leaders so they can solve issues, share best-practices and form meaningful, supportive relationships with their peers.”
The two new organizations will operate under CHIME. Interested CTOs and CAOs can apply for membership before Dec. 31.
