KLAS will act as CHIME’s primary research organization, and CHIME will provide best practices for health IT research and information sharing, according to the report. In addition to research, the partnership will include advocacy support, award collaboration and benchmarking.

“Providers want to be heard and counted,” said Kent Gale, founder of KLAS, in the report. “Working together with CHIME, we can better amplify the provider voice to help healthcare vendors align their delivery to achieve provider organization success.”

The partnership will be effective Jan. 1, 2015.
