The app, called ChildrensPgh, allows patients access to patient portals, locations and direction information as well as medication assistance. The app also includes a ‘Find a Doctor’ tool to enable patients to search for a pediatrician or a pediatric specialist close to their homes as well as a symptom checker.
The app is available on Apple and Android products. The hospital plans on adding features over the year, including push notifications and wait times for the emergency room.
