Here are four things to know.
1. Bookings in the third quarter of 2017 were $1.11 billion, down from $1.43 billion in the third quarter of 2016 and below the company’s guidance range. Cerner cited several delays in large contracts that the company expected to sign this quarter as the reason for the less-than-expected results.
2. Cerner reported $825,197 in operating expenses, but $247,906 in operating earnings.
3. Diluted earnings per share rose from $0.49 in the third quarter of 2016 to $0.53 in the third quarter of 2017.
4. The company expects fourth quarter revenue between $1.3 billion and $1.35 billion and is predicting preliminary revenue for 2018 to be between $5.5 billion and $5.7 billion.
