Cerner revenue increases 11% in Q1

Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner released its 2017 first quarter financial results April 27.

Here are four things to know.

1. The company reported first quarter revenue of $1.26 billion, marking an 11 percent increase from $1.14 billion in the first quarter of 2016.

2. Cerner posted $244.13 million in operating earnings for the first quarter of 2017. In the first quarter of 2016, the company’s operating earnings sat at $215.45 million.

3. In the first quarter of 2017, Cerner reported net earnings of $173.21 million, compared to $150.36 million for the same quarter a year prior.

4. Cerner projects its second quarter 2017 revenue will sit between $1.265 billion and $1.335 billion, leading to full-year 2017 revenue of more than $5 billion.
