Cerner names new leadership for Middle East region

Cerner Middle East & Africa appointed two general managers June 6.

Adrian Dey will serve as general manager for the company’s operations in Qatar. Mr. Dey has more than 18 years of experience in IT managed services and has held previous leadership positions with Electronic Data Systems, Hewlett Packard and Injazat Data Systems. As general manager, Mr. Dey will advance Cerner’s government-level relationships with providers and suppliers.

Michael Schelper, who currently serves as COO for Cerner Middle East & Africa, will also serve as general manager for the company’s operations in United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. Mr. Schelper joined Cerner in 2009 and has held various regional leadership roles in business development, consulting and operations. Mr. Schelper will be responsible for strategic client alignment and development oversight.
