Cerner completes 1st buildings at new campus

The new Cerner campus in Kansas City, Mo., took a step forward in March with a development agreement approved by the Kansas City Tax Increment Financing Commission. Now, the campus continues to take shape with the completion of its first two towers, according to The Kansas City Star.

Cerner’s campus is the largest economic development in the state’s history, according to the report. The Cerner Trails Campus will include 3.7 million square feet of office space, a conference center, data center, training center, hotel, medical clinic and day care center.

The project cost is set at $4.45 billion. The last tower is expected to reach completion in 2025.

The campus will house as many as 16,000 employees.
