Cerner, Boston Children’s to explore startup opportunities

Cerner and Boston Children’s Hospital are launching a strategic initiative focused on interoperability specifically in pediatric care. The organizations plan to formally announce the challenge at MassChallenge Pulse@Check Digital Health Meetup on Oct. 18 in Boston.

Cerner and Boston Children’s are co-hosting the event, which will feature digital health startups and innovations, a panel on healthcare partnerships and a reverse pitch where healthcare stakeholders will pitch digital health challenges to startups. Cerner and Boston Children’s plan to pitch their challenge during the reverse pitch session.

Their challenge seeks solutions to foster interoperability using Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources standards. The startup selected in the challenge will have access to medical and technical guidance from Boston Children’s and Cerner.

Applications will be accepted until Nov. 9.
