Cerner 2014 financial results indicate best year yet

Cerner has announced its 2014 fourth quarter and full year financial results, demonstrating a year of unprecedented growth.

The Kansas City, Mo., health IT giant’s revenue for the fourth quarter of 2014 was $926 million, up 16 percent from $795.3 million in Q4 2013. Cerner reported a FY 2014 revenue of $3.4 billion, up 17 percent — or half a billion dollars — from $2.9 billion for FY 2013.

Additionally, Cerner’s Q4 2014 bookings reached an all-time high at $1.2 billion. Bookings in the same period last year were $1.1 billion.

Other highlights from Cerner’s financial report include cash collections of $910.8 million and operating cash flow of $223.4 million for Q4 2014. For the fiscal year, cash collections were $3.48 billion and operating cash flow was $847 million.

Cerner’s future projections indicate continued growth. Cerner expects first quarter 2015 revenue to be between $1.05 billion and $1.1 billion and full year 2015 revenue between $4.8 billion and $5 billion.
