BD plucks new CIO from Boeing

Denise Fleming has been named CIO and executive vice president of medtech company Becton Dickinson, CIO reported Aug. 10.

She will lead BD’s IT systems and processes, enterprise program management office and global shared service centers. She had previously served as vice president and CIO for Boeing’s defense, space and security division.

“Denise is a widely recognized technology leader known for her strategic execution, organizational leadership and her vision-setting,” Christopher DelOrefice, executive vice president and CFO of BD, wrote in a July LinkedIn post. “She’s also an inspiring people leader focused on building diverse teams, developing talent and enabling her teams to achieve their best.”
