BCBS of Alabama to cover telemedicine

Today, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama will begin providing coverage for telemedicine in an effort to address demand for healthcare in rural areas of the state, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.

The new coverage will focus on behavioral health, cardiology, dermatology, infectious disease and neurology, according to the report.
