As part of the process, the Avera Health team integrated pharmacogenomics into the health system’s clinical workflow. By doing so, Avera Health has reduced patients’ side effects to certain medications and improved treatment success.

“Avera Health is proud of our efforts in leveraging the Meditech EHR to incorporate pharmacogenomics right at the provider’s fingertips for improved workflows and advanced patient care,” said Avera Health CMIO Kim Jundt, MD.
