The other investors in this round include Redmile Group, Emergence Capital and DCM Ventures.

Since its founding in 2012, Augmedix has gained more than $60 million in funding from a variety of investors. In April, five major health systems and Augmedix customers — including Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health, Cincinnati-based TriHealth and San Francisco-based Dignity Health — invested in a $17 million funding round. The health systems did not invest in the most recent round.

Augmedix will use the $23 million from this round of funding to improve its platform and expand its service across the nation.

Healthcare providers can wear Google Glass while working with a patient, and Augmedix enables providers to retrieve the patient’s information without the use of a computer.
